The value of Michael Jackson’s estate is complicated. Since his death, there has been an ongoing debate about how much it is worth, based on the IRS’s valuation. According to the LA Times, “Jackson’s assets at the time of his death in June 2009 were worth $111 million, well below the $482 million estimated by the IRS.” If this doesn’t seem like a lot, the IRS had to take into consideration that Michael was past the peak of his popularity, was in debt, and had a damaged reputation.

Paris Jackson has said she would be open to collaborating with her aunt Janet Jackson.

In an interview with Access Daily, the singer spoke about her new film Sex Appeal, which also stars Mika Abdalla, Fortune Feimster and Margaret Cho. During the conversation, she also discussed her family and namely, her brothers Michael Jackson Jr., also known as Prince, and the youngest, Blanket.

“I think my brother is probably the nicest person I’ve ever met,” she said of Prince. “Absolutely adore him, I adore all my brothers. My best friends.”

Hosts Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover later asked if she would ever consider collaborating with her music icon aunt, Janet Jackson. “We haven’t talked about it, but I’m not opposed to it,” said Paris.

“I love collaborating with all kinds of artists. The genre doesn’t really turn me off, doesn’t matter what genre it is. I can’t say that I see myself doing trap music anytime in the near future, but I’m open to everything.”

In 2020, Paris released her debut solo album ‘Wilted’, which NME called “a collection of 11 intimate songs that’ll fit like your favourite sweater.”

Last year, the singer opened up about her years of trauma and mental health struggles during an episode of Red Table Talk with friend and fellow musician Willow Smith.

“A lot of people do feel regret when they try and attempt suicide,” she said. “There have been times where I did and times where I didn’t, where I was upset that it didn’t work.

She continued: “But I can say, several years later, that I’m really grateful that it didn’t. Things have gotten better.”

In other Jackson news, JANET, the upcoming two-part Lifetime and A&E documentary on Janet Jackson, is set to arrive on January 28 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the singer’s self-titled debut album from 1982.

According to the film’s trailer, JANET has been in production for over five years. The documentary was directed by Ben Hirsch, with Janet Jackson and Randy Jackson serving as executive producers.

“This is my story, told by me. Not through someone else’s eyes,” Jackson has previously said of the film. “This is the truth. Take it or leave it. Love it or hate it. This is me.”

Michael Jackson’s Daughter Paris Jackson Showed Off Her Tattoos in Rare No-Makeup Selfie

If you didn’t know already know: Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson is one of the coolest people on the planet. Between her budding entertainment career and her amazing confidence, we love any update we can get from the singer. Lately, she’s been posting some enchanting mirror selfies and glimpses of her coven. But this time, she posted a selfie that showed off both her growing tattoo collection and bare face.

On Jan 6, Paris posted a selfie to her Instagram story with the caption, “stoked on last night’s waxing crescent phase.” While we’re always into her witchy vibes, we’re really loving how stunning she looks bare-faced.

From what we’ve seen, Paris frequently shows off her natural beauty, but we can’t help but swoon over a bare-faced selfie. It can be hard for some people to show off their bare face, so we love it when celebrities break the unspoken stigma — and look fabulous doing so.

Paris has always been about independence. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she said, “I’ve always wanted to kind of break off and do my own thing, just ’cause I feel I enjoy independence very much.”

Along with that, we can’t help but stare at her tattoos. Now the American Horror Story star has at least 50 known tattoos scattered around her body. She has at least nine dedicated to her late father, some dedicated to some of her favorite musical artists, spiritual tats, musical ones, and one of our favorites being “Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust” — which is a reference to the pet name her father gave her, Tinker Bell. She said in an interview with Rolling Stone per People, “He’s brought me nothing but joy. So why not have constant reminders of joy?”

Texas Meets Hollywood With 3 Buzzy New Films Featuring Lone Star Ties

Texas has always been a breeding ground for great actors. Matthew McConaughey, the Wilson brothers, Renée Zellweger, William Jackson Harper, and Tommy Lee Jones are just a few notable names that claim the Lone Star State as their home.

Recently, there have been several up-and-coming Texas-born actors starring in some of the biggest Hollywood movies. Filming in Texas has also picked up, as a new indie film (see below) was shot in Texas City and the prequel TV series to Yellowstone, 1883, filmed in Fort Worth.

Over in Austin, Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) just started shooting a new sci-fi action thriller movie called Hypnotic starring Ben Affleck and Alice Braga. The story is about a detective who investigates a missing daughter and her father, as well as a secret government program — intriguing. There was also recent news that a new 546-acre film studio and entertainment district is headed to Bastrop, Texas (just east of Austin) and is expected to open in fall 2023. We love to see the industry thrive in our state.

To tide you over until then, we’ve rounded up a few great movies with Texas ties you can stream or catch in theaters right now.

The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
