Britney Spears’ Bedroom Was Surveilled by Her Dad Jamie, Former FBI Special Agent Concludes
]
Britney Spears’ lawyer filed a declaration in court in which a former FBI special agent says she “corroborated” the claim that, under the direction of Jamie Spears, a security company was instructed “to place a secret recording device in Ms. Spears’ bedroom.”
Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, filed the legal documents this week in court, and in the documents, obtained by ET, the declaration says Sherine Ebadi, a former FBI special agent and now an associate managing director of a forensic intelligence firm at the L.A.-based Kroll Associates, concluded that an employee at Black Box Security wiretapped the singer’s bedroom.
The Black Box employee, Alex Vlasov, first made the claim in The New York Times’ documentary Controlling Britney Spears, which is a follow-up to Framing Britney Spears. Vlasov claimed he worked for the singer for nine years and that Britney’s conservators bugged her phone and home in an effort to monitor and survey her usage of the device and life indoors. According to the FX and Hulu filmmakers, which aired the NYT doc, Vlasov supported his claims with alleged emails, text messages and audio recordings he had from over the course of his employment.
Ebadi – whose firm specializes in conducting complex financial probes, forensic audits, due diligence and business intelligence services – says she “personally debriefed and interviewed the whistleblower, Alex Vlasov, at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles” and “I corroborated the Times’s reporting on Mr. Spears’s extensive, surveillance efforts, including of Ms. Spears’s attorney-client communications and private conversations in her bedroom.”
Furthermore, Ebadi claimed that “Vlasov told me that Mr. Spears was particularly interested in his daughter’s attorney-client communications and wanted regular updates from Black Box on the substance of those privileged messages.”
As for how the alleged private recordings were made, Ebadi claimed in her declaration that the “Black Box employee who placed the secret device in Ms. Spears’s bedroom explained to Mr. Vlasov that he did so by duct-taping it behind furniture so it could not be seen, and that he added a separate battery pack to the recording device to permit continuous recording for a longer period of time.” Ebadi also claimed that the employee and Black Box’s CEO “had listened to the recordings made in Ms. Spears’s bedroom but found nothing useful.”
The former FBI special agent concluded that, based on her training, she found Vlasov “highly-credible.”
At one point, according to the docs, Britney switched from a Blackberry to an iPhone in or around 2013, “causing a temporary cessation of monitoring.” According to the docs, Jamie expressed great concern about not having visibility into his daughter’s activity during this period.
It’s Ebadi’s conclusion, via her declaration, that Jamie “used his role as Conservator to enrich himself and those loyal or useful to him, often at the expense and against the best interests of his own daughter, whose assets, welfare, and best interests he was supposed to protect.” Ebadi also claimed that Jamie “engaged in and directed others to engage in unconscionable violations of Ms. Spears’s privacy and civil liberties, which also implicates federal or state criminal violations of the law.” Ebadi cited the fact that California is a “two-party consent” state.
Ebadi declared Vlasov told her the alleged monitoring of Britney’s phone didn’t stop until “early 2021.”
When these claims first surfaced in the documentary last September, Jamie’s lawyer provided a statement to The New York Times.
“All of his actions were well within the parameters of the authority conferred upon him by the court,” the statement read. “His actions were done with the knowledge and consent of Britney, her court-appointed attorney, and/or the court. Jamie’s record as conservator — and the court’s approval of his actions — speak for themselves.”
Jamie’s attorneys have also previously stated in legal docs that “regardless of his formal title, Mr. Spears will always be Ms. Spears’ father” and that “he will always love her unconditionally, and he will always look out for her best interests.” Jamie would eventually be suspended as Britney’s conservator, and the conservatorship was later terminated.
Meanwhile, in a separate legal filing this week, Britney’s attorney submitted a petition asking the court to deny Jamie’s request that his legal fees be paid. In the documents, Britney claims Jamie was an alcoholic father who misappropriated funds from his daughter’s conservatorship.
The docs allege Jamie received more than $36 million from the conservatorship to pay different lawyers’ fees, including $6 million for his own purposes. Those purposes, the documents allege, include Jamie trying to recreate his career as a cook “by pitching a television show called Cookin’ Cruzin’ & Chaos with James Spears for which he diverted personnel from Britney Spears’s tour to help him and retrofitted a tour bus from which he could travel, cook, and serve food.”
According to the docs, Britney is adamant that “no further ‘prompt payment’ is ’necessary,’ much less appropriate, given Mr. Spears’s misconduct and the $6 million in fees and commissions he already took from the Estate.”
Britney’s attorney added that “given the millions of dollars he already has obtained from his daughter’s estate – built through her extraordinary talent, hard work, and perseverance – Mr. Spears already should have more than enough resources to pay his new lawyers.”
On Wednesday, during a court hearing regarding Britney’s finances, Judge Brenda Penny ruled that the 40-year-old singer should have control of the money that was kept in the conservatorship. This marked the last day for the temporary conservator of the estate, John Zabel.
Rosengart argued in court that Britney “has a right to use her monies like any adult,” and that “the money is hers.” Jamie’s attorney, Alex Weingarten, argued that a reserve of the money belonging to the estate should be set aside for his client, should the courts rule in Jamie’s favor regarding seeking financial payment for his services as the former conservator. Judge Penny disagreed, and ruled that Britney was not required to set aside money for that contingency.
Judge Penny also granted a motion sealing the details of the conservatorship transition citing privacy laws. Therefore, the contents and details of the conservatorship transition will only be seen by Britney and her attorneys.

Britney Spears’ fiance posts loved-up snap of the couple on a night out in LA

Britney Spears’ fiance Sam Asghari shared a sweet snapshot of the pair from a recent date night in Los Angeles.
‘The world is ours baby,’ captioned the 27-year-old dancer/actor, who has been romantically linked to the 40-year-old singer since 2016.
The joyful post comes amid recent court filings by Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart relating to her former conservator, father Jamie Spears, as well as a cease-and-desist that was sent to her younger sister Jamie Lynn over ‘derogatory’ claims made in her new memoir.
In it together: Britney Spears’ fiance Sam Asghari shared a sweet snapshot of the pair from a recent date night in Los Angeles
In a letter obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, Jamie Lynn’s own attorney Bryan Freedman issued a response that accused Britney of ‘mobilizing her fans’ and criticized Rosengart for ’not reading’ Jamie Lynn’s book before sending the cease-and-desist.
He also said that the letter ‘doesn’t show any mistruth’ on Jamie Lynn’s part.
For her night out with Sam, Britney slipped her fit frame into a busty white mini dress which she styled with a pair of red suede boots.
Her flowing blonde tresses were styled in a half up half down hairdo as she cozied up to her partner of six years.
Asghari, who proposed to the star back in September after nearly five years of dating, looked sharp in a black leather jacket layered over a brown tee and dark denim.
He had one arm wrapped around Spears, while the other rested on her curled up legs.

The couple were seated on striped couch with an incredible view of the city. A table rested in front of them with two table settings and a bottle of water.
Yesterday, Britney’s legal team ordered Jamie Lynn to stop discussing the pop star’s life and struggles when she’s giving interviews to promote her new memoir.
Jamie Lynn is currently on a promotional tour for her new book ‘Things I Should Have Said’, which Britney’s legal counsel said contains ‘misleading and outrageous claims’ about her.
Lawyer Mathew Rosengart wrote a stinging letter to Jamie Lynn, demanding that she ‘cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily’ and threatening ‘all appropriate legal action’ should the actress not comply.
‘We write with some hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her,’ the letter, obtained exclusively by Page Six, read.

‘Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.’
After years under a conservatorship overseen by her father, Jamie Spears, Rosengart stressed Britney will not be ‘bullied’ by anyone any more.
The letter continued: ‘You of all people know the abuse and wrongdoing Britney had to endure during the conservatorship, after initially growing up with a ‘ruinous,’ alcoholic father.
‘In fact, your own book reportedly states that your father “spent most of my life in that cycle of ruinous behavior. His bouts of drinking caused me periods of torment and sorrow.”
‘As I have previously stated, having endured a 13-year conservatorship that stripped her of civil rights and fundamental liberties, Britney will no longer be bullied by her father or anyone else.’
Jamie Lynn was accused of ‘airing false or fantastical grievances’ to garner publicity for her book and warned her sister will take further legal action if she continues to speak about her and their feud.

Last thing she wants: ‘We write with some hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her,’ the letter, obtained exclusively by Page Six, read
The letter, which was first obtained by Page Six, concluded: ‘Britney was the family’s breadwinner and she also otherwise supported you. Publicly airing false or fantastical grievances is wrong, especially when designed to sell books. It is also potentially unlawful and defamatory.
‘Michelle Obama famously said, ‘When they go low, we go high.’ And to Britney’s great credit, that is exactly what Britney is going to do, for the time being.
‘You recently reportedly stated that the book was “not about her.” She takes you at your word and we, therefore, demand that you cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily during your promotional campaign.
‘If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.’
And now Jamie Lynn’s attorney Bryan Freedman has sent a letter to Rosengart refuting the notion that his client is ‘mudslinging,’ according to TMZ.
He cited a number of social media posts made by Britney - several that have since been deleted - directed at her younger sister, including statements that she ‘should have “slapped you and mamma right across your fing faces!!” And, “Whipped your a.” And, “popped the s** out of your a**.”’
The letter, which was first obtained by Page Six, concluded: ‘Britney was the family’s breadwinner and she also otherwise supported you. Publicly airing false or fantastical grievances is wrong, especially when designed to sell books. It is also potentially unlawful and defamatory
Freedman also appears to suggest that Spears’ posts have ‘mobilized her fans to threaten the lives of Jamie Lynn and her family.’
He also called out Rosengart for allegedly not reading his client’s memoir prior to issuing the cease-and-desist.
Freedman claims that if Rosengart had read the memoir he would see that Jamie Lynn portrayed Britney as a ‘kind, supportive and a protective sister.’
There was also disappointment felt by Freedman over the fact that the cease-and-desist to Jamie Lynn was ‘plastered all over the media’ and that it’s ’no way to resolve a dispute and try to repair damaged relationships.’
Just one day after her attorney issued the cease-and-desist, Britney posted yet another blistering attack on Jamie Lynn, calling her a ‘selfish brat.’
Rosengart had previously claimed that his client would ‘go high for the time being’ and refrain from making any further remarks in their ugly feud, but Britney has now doubled down on her family grievances.
After initially deleting her Tuesday post - whereby Britney said she should have ‘slapped’ her sister and mother Lynne Spears - she has now re-posted an even longer version with new details on Wednesday.
Response: And now Jamie Lynn’s attorney Bryan Freedman has sent a letter to Rosengart refuting the notion that his client is ‘mudslinging,’ according to TMZ. Freedman also appears to suggest that Spears’ words have ‘mobilized her fans to threaten the lives of Jamie Lynn and her family’
In her extended post, Britney calls Jamie Lynn a ‘selfish brat’ who once refused to play with her after she had split up with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
At the time, Britney was around 21, while younger sister Jamie Lynn would have been 11-years-old.
‘You selfish little brat !!!’ Britney fumes in her notes. ‘Saying how weird and dumb it was that I bought a house for Mamma !!!! She was so proud and you told that interview girl that it was just weird … LIKE I GUESS I WILL JUST WALK IN THESE HALLS … Why did you say that ???’
She also continues to deny Jamie Lynn’s accusation that she once ‘grabbed a knife’ and locked them in a room together, which was shared in a recent interview on ABC’s Nightline.
Britney writes: ‘And the topic about the knife which is ironically the only lie you’ve ever told in your whole life … Why is that conversation 20 min ??? and the most degrading to me … OH BUT you don’t want to keep talking about it because you don’t want to HURT ANYBODY’S feelings … yet you let it linger forever saying you felt unsafe with me and WEIRD … f**k you Jamie Lynn !!!!’
The pop singer paints a picture of their fractured relationship in her lengthy post, hinting that she was jealous that Jamie Lynn had an easier childhood.
Longer version of events: Britney Spears goes on ANOTHER foul-mouthed rant against sister Jamie Lynn on Wednesday… despite issuing her with a cease-and-desist letter the day before
Despite their ten-year age-gap, Britney claims her sister at the time did not want to ‘play’ with her anymore, and says Jamie Lynn dyed her hair like her pop rival Christina Aguilera.
‘When I came home you and your little friends all thought I wasn’t cool … You felt bad for me in the breakup … HELL NO you didn’t !!! You and your friends all dyed your hair like Christina Aguilera and you no longer would play with me anymore !!!’
Just a few hours later, she returned to Instagram with a video of herself in a red and white floral crop top, white shorts and red boots.
‘Me after my fever,’ she cheekily captioned the footage, referring to her past post about feeling ill after watching her sibling’s interview on GMA interview last week.
She added: ‘I’m definitely better!!!! These boots are made for walking… that’s just they’ll do … one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.’
Last November, Britney called out Christina Aguilera for ‘refusing to speak’ about her conservatorship when asked about the topic on a red carpet.
A complete timeline of how 2021 became the year Britney Spears was freed from her father and conservatorship
]
July 26, 2021: Rosengart formally requested the court to remove Jamie as a conservator. His filing included damning statements from Lynne and Spears’ personal conservator,

Rosengart wasted no time. Twelve days after he was hired by Spears, he submitted a new court filing with the formal request that Jamie be suspended from the conservatorship immediately.
The filing included supporting statements from Britney’s mom Lynne and Jodi Montgomery — the woman appointed to be Britney’s coconservator.
Montgomery said the pop star’s entire medical team agreed that her estranged father should be removed from the guardianship because of “serious, unresolved issues” between Spears and Jamie that were “not psychologically healthy.”
As for Lynne, she made an incendiary declaration in support of her daughter’s request. This marked the first time Lynne had spoken out in clear opposition to her ex-husband. The two divorced in 2002.
“Since this conservatorship has been in place, the relationship between the conservatee and Mr. Spears has dwindled to nothing but fear and hatred of Mr. Spears by the conservatee due to Mr. Spears’ behavior,” Lynne Spears wrote her statement.
Lynne said that behavior included Jamie’s “complete control” over Britney, “his mistrust of her, his coercion of her, his ‘bartering’ with her over what she can and cannot do for whatever reward or punishment he is willing to mete out, his constant threats, and his decision-making over all aspects of her life.”

Britney Spears’ Instagram Skit “Sessions With Ashley” Features A Poop Joke
]
Britney Spears is known as a chart-topper and Grammy winner, but in an alternate universe, she could’ve also been a sitcom star. She’s proven her comedic chops on Will and Grace, How I Met Your Mother, and Jane the Virgin, but these days, she’s showing off her comedy skills on Instagram. Spears posted a new video titled “Sessions with Ashley” on Jan. 18, presumably marking the debut of a series of skits, complete with the singer belting out a catchy intro jingle.
The skit follows Ashley, played by Spears, who is seeing her therapist, also played by Spears, for the third time in one month. “We need to start taking things a little bit more seriously here,” the unnamed therapist warns. “I’m here to help you, but you need to give me the tools to help you with your relationship with Earl. Earl has a sickness, and your bowel movements are obviously getting in the way of showing him your affection toward him.” Yes, you read that right: Ashley’s bowel movements are preventing her from having a healthy relationship.
Ashley goes on to describe her recent date with Earl, who has a drinking problem and who took her to the opening night of Cats, where they met the cast during intermission. But then nature called. “I think I had too much to eat with my hamburger, and I’m actually a little bit allergic to fried food,” she said, before pretending to cry. “Sorry, I need to take a moment.”
“I had to run away, I went to the bathroom, and I just sht on myself everywhere,” she continued, sobbing. “I couldn’t stop it and it was the nerves of being with him. He makes me so scared because I just want everything to go right and all of a sudden, I just let go and I just sht everywhere. How does that make me feel? Well, it makes me feel way better in my belly once I just sh*t everywhere, but the embarrassment factor of just letting go like that is really too much to handle.”
Spears made it clear on Instagram that the video was not based on a true story, captioning her post, “No, I never pooped on myself !!! This is a skit !!!”
This isn’t the first time that Spears has poked fun at therapy, which she said she was forced to receive under her 13-year-long conservatorship. In December, Spears played both a therapist and her unenthused patient in another self-made skit posted to Instagram. “As much therapy as I’ve had to do against my will … being forced to pay and listen to women telling me how they are going to further my success… it would only be fair for me to dedicate my life to skits to the wonderful therapist,” she captioned the post.
What these skits prove is that Lorne Michaels needs to get Spears to host Saturday Night Live again immediately. She’s hosted the variety show twice, in 2000 and 2002, and appeared once again as the musical guest in 2003.
Many stars have portrayed Spears on the show over the years, including Amy Poehler, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, and Chloe Fineman, but Spears hasn’t appeared since then.
