Euphoria Recap: Nate’s Dad Is Out For Revenge - E! Online

Daddy issues, man.
The latest episode of Euphoria is proof that Nate (Jacob Elordi) is one of the most self-centered people on the earth. While he’s recovering from having the life beat out of him by Fez (Angus Cloud), he dreams of Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and the future he wants to share with her. It’s a life filled with copious sex and nights by the fire, the kind of stuff that happens in porn, not reality.
Then, the fantasy is interrupted by his father, Cal (Eric Dane), who does yoga in the backyard and offers to hold a pregnant Cassie in the pool. This moment is a reminder that his dad is always there to mess things up, driving Nate insane and inducing a fit that has his father yelling for a doctor.
Once out of the hospital, Nate decides that he can’t be with Cassie, the woman of his dreams and mother of his children. He has to stay with Maddy (Alexa Demie) because she’s the one who stole his dad’s sex tape with Jules (Hunter Schafer). So, naturally, instead of letting Cassie off the hook and telling her to move on, he treats her like any teenage boy would and gives her mixed signals.

Paramount Pictures Acquires Rights To John Swab’s Action-Thriller ‘Little Dixie’ Starring Frank Grillo
]
Paramount Pictures has acquired worldwide distribution rights to Little Dixie, an action thriller from writer-director John Swab (Ida Red, Body Brokers), which stars Frank Grillo (Captain America and The Purge films, Kingdom). Deadline hears that the studio will look to release the film in the second half of this year.
In the Roxwell Films title, Grillo portrays Doc, who facilitates a fragile truce between the Governor and a cartel, trading prosecutorial leniency for finance. When this truce dissolves, Doc is left to fend for himself and protect the one untainted thing in his life: his daughter, Little Dixie.
The actioner also stars Eric Dane (Euphoria, Grey’s Anatomy), Beau Knapp (The Nice Guys, Mosquito State) and Annabeth Gish (Midnight Mass). Jeremy M. Rosen (Ida Red, Charlie Says) cast the project and produced with Swab and Robert Ogden Barnum (Margin Call, All is Lost) for Roxwell Films, in association with Three Point Capital. Viviana Zarragoitia and Ali Jazayeri served as exec producers, with production taking place in Oklahoma and wrapping in December.
Little Dixie is the sixth feature to come from collaborators Swab and Rosen. Their most recent project, the crime thriller Ida Red—in which Grillo starred alongside Josh Harnett and Melissa Leo—premiered at the 2021 Locarno Film Festival and was released in November.
“Little Dixie is Jeremy’s and my greatest feat to date,” said Swab. “With our dear friend and third time collaborator Frank Grillo carrying the film as the lead and many other friends rounding out the supporting cast, we feel strongly that this is a thriller to be reckoned with for years to come. To work with Paramount, home to many of our favorite classics, is a dream come true.”
Sejin Croninger, EVP and head of Paramount’s Worldwide Acquisitions group, negotiated the deal to acquire Little Dixie with Rosen and Barnum on behalf of the filmmakers.
Grillo is represented by CAA, Management 360 and Paul Hastings LLP; Dane by CAA, Management 360 and Goodman Genow Schenkman; Knapp by CAA, Luber Roklin Entertainment and Morris Yorn Barnes Levine; and Gish by Innovative Artists, Thruline Entertainment and Felker Toczek Suddleson.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Callie Torres and Arizona Robbins Return for Season 18? This Child Actor Knows Something
]
After the plethora of fan-favorites who returned in Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, it’s no surprise that season 18 is shaping up to be the same, and it looks like Calzona could be next on the list. Sara Ramirez told news outlets in December 2021 that they would “absolutely” return to the series. Then, the child actor who portrays Callie and Arizona’s daughter, Eva Ariel Binder, teased “big news.” Could Callie Torres and Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) return to Grey’s Anatomy for season 18?

Why did Callie Torres leave ‘Grey’s Anatomy’?
Sarah Ramirez’s last episode was the Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 finale. After a challenging custody battle with Arizona, Callie moved to New York with her girlfriend, Penny (Samantha Sloyan). However, after the finale aired on ABC, Ramirez gave a public statement about their departure from the show. The actor moved on to other things, citing the need for a break from the long-running medical drama.
Although Callie, Arizona, and Mark Sloan’s (Eric Dane) daughter, Sofia, split her time between New York and Seattle, she still missed both mothers. At the end of Grey’s Anatomy Season 14, Arizona left Seattle to take Sofia to live in New York near Callie. She added that she couldn’t help but smile when texting her ex, so viewers hope that the two rekindled their romance in the Big Apple. Hopefully when they both return it will be together in Grey’s Anatomy Season 18.
Sara Ramirez said they would “absolutely” return to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’
In an interview with Glamour on Dec. 10, Ramirez shared their thoughts about playing the first nonbinary character in the Sex and the City world. The actor portrays Che Diaz in the HBO Max reboot, And Just Like That… The journalist asked if Ramirez might consider returning to Grey’s Anatomy at any point in time.
“Absolutely,” Ramirez laughed. “You didn’t expect that answer, did ya? If the stars align in a way that makes it make sense, absolutely. I love my Grey’s Anatomy family. I’m so proud of them for introducing trans characters and nonbinary characters. It’s a beautiful universe that they’ve created over there, and I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of it.”

The actor also added that they aren’t quite sure what Callie might be up to in season 18.
“I imagine that Callie is in New York,” they added. “I’m not really sure what else is going on for Dr. Callie Torres, but I’m just as curious as the fans are. I think it would be really exciting to see what Dr. Callie Torres is doing these days. So yeah, I’m definitely open to it. I would love to see it.”
Sofia teased ‘big news’ for ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ fans
After ABC renewed Grey’s Anatomy for Season 19, Eva Ariel Binder — who portrays Sofia — shared a congratulatory post on Instagram.
“Just a big Congrats from your Sofia to Grey’s Anatomy on a SEASON 19!” Binder wrote in the caption. “Super excited! Also, to my amazing Grey’s fans I have some big news coming! Hope you will like it!! @abcnetwork @greysabc #sofia #sofiarobbinssloantorres #greysanatomy #greysanatomyedits #greysanatomybrasil”

Many fans hope that the “big news” indicates either Callie or Arizona (or hopefully both) return to Seattle with Sofia. However, ABC did not break the news about either return yet for Grey’s Anatomy Season 18. Luckily, the ABC renewed the series for season 19 and promoted Ellen Pompeo, so if Calzona doesn’t return this season, there’s always next year.
Grey’s Anatomy returns to ABC on Feb. 24, 2022, for a crossover event with Station 19.

Euphoria season 2 burst its way back onto our TV screens in the most spectacularly chaotic way possible last week, with a drug-fuelled house party, a massive fight, some absolutely killer fashion lewks and… several penises.
Yep, Euphoria is well and truly back on its bullsh*t, kicking off the second season with some pretty shocking scenes. But it turns out that nothing was more shocking to fans than one particular moment that took place in the bathroom of the house party, involving the now infamous (yet kind of iconic) “toilet guy”.
That actor was Ansel Pierce, who has now taken to TikTok to confirm that yes, that really was him. Full frontal. Sitting in on the toilet. Watch his hilarious TikTok video below.

Around half way through the first episode, Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) finds herself having sex with Nate (Jacob Elordi) in the bathroom at the party. Nate’s ex-girlfriend and Cassie’s best friend Maddy (Alexa Demie) then starts banging on the door, wanting to use the bathroom.
Cassie hides in the bath, Nate leaves, Maddy goes in with other guy, they smoke, Cassie almost gets caught when her phone starts ringing, but thankfully, they ignore it and leave. Just as Cassie is about to finally leave, another guy comes in, pulls his pants down, sits on the toilet and tells Cassie he’s about to “take a shit”.
Cassie – along with the viewers – are then faced with the image of a guy sitting on the toilet, completely full frontal.
I didn’t want to know what it looks like when a man sits on a toilet, my week is ruined#Euphoria — Luna (@holacestluna) January 11, 2022
Ansel Pierce, now forever known amongst Euphoria fans as “toilet guy”, spoke to fans on TikTok a day after the episode aired and confirmed that it was all real.
“Yes, that is me, in the bathroom. Not a prosthetic. Got a lot of questions…" he said in the video. “And y’all are hilarious, dude. The amount of TikToks, tweets, the f*cking Reddit board that’s like analysing every little piece of the scene. This is mind-blowing. I’m laughing my ass off over here.”
He continued: “So please if you find like funny tweets, anything, referencing this shit, send it my way. This is making my entire f*cking day, I am cracking up right now.”
In a follow up video, Ansel explained how he told his family about his first big TV role, and how he broke the news that it wasn’t exactly something they could watch.
“We’re so proud of you, we can’t wait to watch! We’re gonna save it, we’re gonna send it to our whole family. So cool!,” he said, pretending to be his mum in a reenactment of the conversation. “Nope, absolutely not. You can’t. You can’t watch it,” he replied.
He then continued, “No it’s your first show, we don’t care what’s like! We’re gonna watch it!” before adding the kicker, “Yeah, no, um, my entire cock is out. Like, full frontal, first scene of the season. Just… dick out.”
Euphoria is no stranger to a good ol’ full frontal penis scene. Before the show had even aired its first episode, all anyone could talk about were the reports of ‘30 full frontal penises in one scene’.
In the first season, Eric Dane’s character Cal Jacobs also appears in a very graphic scene with an erect penis. It was later confirmed that it was actually a prosthetic, and not real at all.
Speaking to EW, Eric explained that it was decided that a fake penis would be used for that specific scene: “Using a prosthetic is sort of protocol. It’s protocol and it’s also very considerate to your scene partner,” he said. “There was one isolated shot that I suggested, ‘Look if it makes more sense to not use a prosthetic, I’m willing to go there.’ At the end of the day, because of the context, we decided that the prosthetic was the way to go, and we came to that decision as a group.”
