A special episode of Home Town airs on HGTV Sunday night. The episode will show Erin Napier and Ben Napier welcoming their second daughter, Mae Napier. Mae was born in May 2021 and has one older sister, 4-year-old Helen. Home Town airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET and is available to stream on Discovery+.
“Tonight at 8/7 ct there’s another new episode of [Home Town], and this is the one where Mae was finally born! You’ll get to see a single mama’s dream home come to life, and my circle of friends’ tradition when one of us is expecting. See y’all tonight,” Erin, 36, wrote on Instagram Sunday. She included a photo with her friends.
Erin and Ben, 38, welcomed Mae on May 28, 2021. She is named after Erin’s Aunt Mae and was born weighing 7 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 19.5 inches. “While we are excited to have another daughter to love, we are more excited to see the bond she and Helen will have,” the couple told PEOPLE when sharing the news. “They’re already so in love with each other.”
The couple kept the pregnancy a secret for as long as they could, waiting until just a month before Mae was born to share the news. The two said they found out in September 2020, when they were filming Home Town in Laurel, Mississippi, and their first spinoff, Home Town Takeover, in Wetumpka, Alabama. “The last six months of 2020 really, you know, it was rough. It’s all a blur,” Ben told PEOPLE.
The latest season of Home Town debuted on Dec. 26. The Napiers also have two spin-offs. Home Town: Ben’s Workshop Season 2 also debuted on Discovery+ on Dec. 26. Home Town Kickstart, a follow-up to Home Town Takeover, will air later this year. Kickstart will feature the family bringing their renovation skills to more small towns to make lasting changes.
“Erin and I have renovated more than 80 homes in Laurel for Home Town and we’ve seen how these improvements change a community for the better,” Ben said in a statement when the new show was announced. “Now, with help from HGTV, we’re going to continue what we started and help more small towns across the country.”
Fans have fallen in love with Home Town in part because the show also follows the Napiers’ life outside their renovation projects. Fans also saw the couple welcome their first daughter, Helen, who just celebrated her fourth birthday earlier this month. “The day she was born there was a flu epidemic that was so serious we couldn’t leave the house or have company for many weeks,” Erin wrote on Jan. 3. “Now she’s growing up in the COVID world and it is very small. She has her family and a handful of friends and cousins, always in careful interactions, and I wish the world was different for them. Praying for normalcy to come sooner than later for all the little ones in the world tonight.”
‘Home Town’ Star Erin Napier Reflects on Her Daughter’s Birthday With Bittersweet Instagram Post

HGTV star Erin Napier has two daughters with her husband, Ben.
Her oldest, Helen, recently turned four, and Erin took time to celebrate her daughter’s birthday with the sweetest Instagram.
Erin Napier isn’t one to shy away from wearing her heart on her sleeve. The Home Town host regularly opens up on her Instagram account, detailing everything from her sweet moments with her daughters to her love story with her husband and co-host, Ben. Most recently, the 36-year-old designer used her daughter’s fourth birthday as an opportunity to reflect on the state of the world and her daughter, and many fans are connecting with what she said.
“The day she was born there was a flu epidemic that was so serious we couldn’t leave the house or have company for many weeks,” Erin shared in the caption of a photo carousel commemorating Helen’s big day. “Now she’s growing up in the COVID world and it is very small. She has her family and a handful of friends and cousins, always in careful interactions, and I wish the world was different for them.”

Although the enduring COVID-19 pandemic has put a hamper on many plans, Erin insisted on making the most of her daughter’s special day. There was a Frozen-themed cake, festive decor and plently of family time. And while the day sounded like everything little Helen wanted, Erin can’t help but wish for more for her little one — as well as the other children of the world. “Praying for normalcy to come sooner than later for all the little ones in the world tonight,” she wrote to conclude her caption.
Soon after sharing, fellow parents and Home Town fans flocked to her account to offer messages of support.
“Happy birthday, Helen! And amen. I get so sad thinking that over half my baby’s life has been during Covid times. I just want so badly for a normal childhood for her, free of the anxieties of the moment. Hopefully soon,” one fan commented on her post. “And the teens and young adults who are trying to navigate high school and college during this madness. Normalcy for all. Please Lord,” another fan wrote.
Someone else took a beat to remind Erin — and all the people sifting through her comments— of the silver lining of it all: “But make no mistake how many wonderful memories she will have of home and family,” they wrote.
And with that, may we all keep perspective during these trying times.

As well as Ben and Erin, there are many more contractors and cast member who make the home renovations come to life on Home Town.

Who is Mike Husers?
Mike ‘the floor guy’ is actually called Mike Husers and he’s an OG in the world of home improvement.
He’s the owner of GM Hardwood Floors which is a family business of over 20 years that specialises in hardwood flooring.
Mike, like Erin and Ben, is native to Laurel, Mississippi and was a cast member on Home Town, bringing peoples’ hardwood floors back to life.

Where is Mike ‘the floor guy’?
Judging by Twitter, Mike was a huge fan favourite on Home Town. Many fans Tweeted their love for him, so as he’s appeared less and less on the show, many have begun to ask where Mike is.
It seems that Mike was a regular face on Home Town up until around a year ago and a Go Fund Me page, created by Erin, may explain his absence from the show.
Erin wrote in the page’s description that Mike had an upcoming surgery for a hip injury which was caused by crouching and sanding for years: “Walking and working are becoming increasingly difficult so let’s show Mike we love him and make his surgery cost and the 8 week recovery away from work“.
As per the fundraising page, just over $19,000 was raised for Mike’s surgery.
An update on Mike in 2022
Although Mike doesn’t appear as much on Home Town as he has done in the past, he may show up on the HGTV series again in the future. Judging by his Instagram page, he’s taking some time out in 2022 for “A little R&R” and he looks to be spending lots of time with his wife.
Some Facebook users also commented on Mike’s new profile picture in January 2022 to ask how he was and Mike replied: “doing good“.
Given that Mike has said he’s “doing good” in 2022 and the fact that it appears his flooring company is still up and running we can assume that all is well for the floor guy. We could assume that Mike took some time out from Home Town for his hip surgery and hasn’t decided to make a return just yet.

Justin Verlander & Kate Upton List L.A. Home for $11.7M — See Inside!

The couple, who married in 2017, purchased the home together in 2016
Kate Upton and Justin Verlander are hoping for a home run sale for their L.A. mansion, which they just put on the market for a cool $11,750,000.
The supermodel, 29, and the Major League Baseball pitcher, 38, who married in 2017, have listed their four-bedroom, five-bathroom estate in Beverly Hills, Calif. after moving their family to Florida late last year. The listing is held by Susan Smith of Hilton & Hyland.
Get push notifications with news, features and more.
The couple, who share daughter Genevieve, 3, purchased the property for $5,250,000 in 2016, property records show — a little over half of the current asking price. According to the listing, they completed extensive renovations while living there, adding modern touches and contemporary features.
Tucked up in the mountains on one-and-a-half acres, the 5,521-square-foot home features a formal dining room, a living room with a graystone fireplace and a whitewashed family room with a beamed ceiling. The contemporary kitchen is located on the ground floor, and boasts a breakfast nook, a spacious marble island, state-of-the-art appliances and a gray tile backsplash.

Elsewhere in the home is a walk-in, temperature-controlled wine room; a theater room with a wet bar and a games room. The primary suite features a seating area, an expansive bathroom with a steam shower and soaking tub, and massive dual closets with built-ins. A separate guest suite also provides plenty of space for visiting friends and family.

Outside, a brick pool sits on a rolling lawn with plenty of lounge and deck spaces for hanging out and dining al fresco. One of the home’s biggest draws is also outside: a championship-sized tennis court.

In addition to being expansive, the property — at which you arrive via a long, winding driveway — also features lush greenery and towering trees to help with privacy. This has been beneficial for the home’s past celebrity owners, according to Dirt, including tennis pro Pete Sampras and musician Kenny G.

Upton and Verlander, who recently signed a two-year, $50 million agreement with the Houston Astros, have been spending the past couple years enjoying time with their daughter amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In April 2020, the pair announced their plan to donate Verlander’s weekly paychecks from the MLB to COVID-related charities.

“Recently the @mlb announced they will be continuing to send paychecks to players while the season is suspended,” the athlete wrote at the time. “@kateupton and I have decided to donate those funds to a different organization each week so that we can support their efforts and highlight the great work they’re doing during the COVID-19 crisis.”

Verlander continued, “Everyone around the world is affected by this virus, and we hope to contribute to the families and jobs affected, the healthcare workers and first responders on the front lines and the many others in need of basic necessities, medical supplies and support at home.”
