Man killed in motorcycle crash along SR-80

Florida Highway Patrol confirmed a deadly single-vehicle crash in Hendry County. This happened near the intersection of SR-80 and Everhigh Acres Rd.

Just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, FHP says the 79-year-old Pembroke Pines man was driving his motorcycle east on SR-80.

The man failed to correctly navigate a curve in the road and left the roadway. Then, his motorcycle hit a guardrail.

The crash threw him from his motorcycle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of those involved in crashes, citing Marsy’s Law.

Sacramento police investigating deadly crash involving motorcycle, car

SACRAMENTO, CALIF. (KTXL) — Sacramento police said one person died Wednesday evening after a crash in South Sacramento.

The crash happened near Florin Road and Munson Way just before 6:20 p.m. According to police, a motorcyclist and a car collided.

The driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured and died of his injuries, officials said. A passenger on the motorcycle was also injured; personnel took them to a local hospital.

Police said the driver of the car stayed at the scene and was contacted by officers.

Authorities were not yet sure how the crash occurred, and detectives are investigating.

The identity of the man who died was not released.

Motorcycle crash leaves one dead in Wagoner County

TULSA, Okla. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said that one man is dead and another was injured in a crash on White Horn Cove Road north of Wagoner.

Troopers said 47-year-old Ryan Corey Ward of Wagoner was taken to Wagoner City Hospital after his motorcycle crossed the center of the road going around a curve and hitting a vehicle head on.

Ward was later pronounced dead at the hospital due to his injuries.

OHP said that a mini van was also involved in the crash and the driver was taken to Wagoner City Hospital and later released.

They said the mini van attempted to miss the motorcycle and went off the road but the motorcycle still hit the van.
