Gabrielle Union reveals shocking ‘Bring It On’ secret in viral TikTok
]
Cheers to Gabrielle Union for spilling this pipping hot “Bring It On” tea.
Union — who starred as “Isis,” the supreme pom-pom princess of the Clovers cheerleading squad, in the cult-classic — has fans of the flick flipping out over claims she and her black cast mates were deceptively highlighted in the 2000 film’s trailer.
“Story time!,” exclaimed the 49-year-old actress at the top of a now-viral TikTok video, which features footage from the official “Bring It On” teaser.
“So, we shot these snippets that you see here after the movie wrapped, because once test-audiences saw the movie they wanted more of the Clovers,” she explained as clips of herself and her co-stars of color played in the background.
“We shot these [scenes] only for the trailer, not for the movie, to make people think we were in the movie more than we were. The end,” said Union in her eye-popping post, which has commanded over 1.9 million views.

The two-decades-old comedy — which also stars Kirsten Dunst, 39, Eliza Dushku, 41, and Jesse Bradford, 42 — follows the rah-rah rivalry between the prominently white “Toros” cheer team from San Diego, California and the unapologetically black “Clovers” cheerleaders of East Compton.

And mind-blown movie buffs were shocked to learn that they’d been bamboozled by the film’s false advertisement.
“We were black-fished,” a stunned commentator wrote, likening the movie’s misleading trailer tactics to those of an online dating Catfish. “That’s so evil. Why couldn’t they have just given y’all more scenes,” said another.

Other infuriated fans took to Twitter, venting their frustrations over the flick’s fraudulent ads saying: “We really got robbed [with] ‘Bring It On,’” and “[We] need a ‘Bring It On’ tell-all docuseries immediately.
Thus far, no other members of the star-studded “Bring It On” cast have openly commented on Union’s jaw-dropping revelation.
Gabrielle Union Rocks Edgy, All-Black Silk Ensemble on Instagram
]
Gabrielle Union never needs an excuse to get all dressed up (but whenever she does, we make sure to pay attention).
The Bring It On star showed off an edgy, monochromatic ‘fit in a new series of photos on Instagram. Throughout the slideshow, Union poses in a black, pleated silk jacket and trousers set from Cong Tri with a matching bandeau underneath. The ensemble was accessorized with a togo matte alligator Birkin bag from Hermès. And while we can’t see what type of shoes she’s wearing, it looks like Union is sporting black flats to match as well.
In her caption, Union was feeling the chic outfit, but she ended with a comically harsh reality, saying, “Y’all, my curls are flourishing. Got a cute outfit on. I’ve secured the bag and thee bag. I am moisturized. Knees, knuckles, ankles and elbows glistening. I’m fresh off a meditation and nobody can tell me diddly. So, basically I’ve got about 15 min before @kaaviajames has me looking like harry scary.”
Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade’s Daughter Kaavia Plays an Adorable School Teacher In Hilarious Home Video
]
At-home learning isn’t a new concept for parents — especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic — but Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade are flipping the script in a new video posted to Instagram. The couple is letting daughter Kaavia James, 3, teach the lessons!
In a hilarious home video posted to Instagram Monday, Kaavia plays an adorable school teacher for her family. Kaavia is standing up in her pajamas in the video, while her family is sitting down (a little cramped) inside her playhouse.

“A bird, a coconut, and a monster — that’s what the lesson is today in school?” one of the adults asks Kaavia, to which she replies, “Yes” and twirls around. Union is shown making a surprised look at the camera before nodding.

Later, her dad Wade raises his hand to ask a question, and Union tells Kaavia that she thinks he was “trying to go to the bathroom to try to get out of school.” Kaavia looks at him and says, “You’re coming back.” Then Union says, “So, it’s Kaavia’s school where we learn about Kaavia.” Sounds like the best school ever!
Union added text to the video saying, “@kaaviajames does her Joe Clark impression. #LeanOnMe,” referencing Principal Joe Clark, played by Morgan Freeman, in the film Lean on Me. She also captioned the video, “@kaaviajames basically said ‘JUMP! Do it expeditiously!’ Her version of school is straight outta #LeanOnMe and @dwyanewade is ‘Sams’ and I, of course is the teacher’s pet,” adding several laughing face emojis. “Poor @chefrli just stuck!!” she added, referring to the couple’s personal chef Richard Ingraham, who was also in the video.
This isn’t the first time Kaavia has nailed what it’s like to be a grown-up. In a video posted Dec. 29, she was seen talking on a pink phone, feet in the air, looking around while another kid talked her ear off. This little girl is so stinkin’ cute, and it’s obvious she has her parents (and anyone else who meets her) wrapped around her finger. I can’t get enough Kaavia videos!

Bozoma Saint John, chief marketing officer of Netflix, summed it up perfectly in her comment on the post: “I swear every time I see Kaavia in the post, I stop what I’m doing to listen to her antics.” We couldn’t agree more.

How Celebrities Proposed To Their Significant Others

Union shared on Live! With Kelly and Michael that Wade planned the proposal with his two children from his previous marriage to Siohvaughn Funches, Zaya and Zaire. While everyone was at their home, which was under construction at the time, Wade’s children initiated the proposal.
“The [kids said], ‘We want to do a presentation for you.’ So I thought they were gonna do, like, a skit or a song or something,” Union said. “So me and [Wade] turn around, and they’re like, okay, now! And we turn back around, and they’re holding signs that say … ‘Will you marry us?’”
Wade’s children had brought the subject of marriage up to Union before, so she initially didn’t think the signs were meant to be taken seriously. She realized the proposal was sincere, however, once Wade got down on one knee. She said yes to his proposal, and they tied the knot in 2014. They welcomed a daughter, Kaavia, in 2018.
