Sam Asghari is ready for anything with his fiancée, Britney Spears.

Asghari, 27, posted a photo of himself and Spears, 40, on Instagram Wednesday, showing the couple cuddled up on a couch and smiling for the camera.

Spears rocked a white dress with bright red boots while leaning into Asghari, who sported a leather jacket and jeans, wrapping an arm around Spears’ shoulder with a hand on her leg. The two cozied up in front of a window, over a city lit up against the night sky.

“The world is ours baby 🦁,” Asghari captioned the post.

Spears and her fiancé first met in 2016, on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video. After five years of dating, Asghari proposed in September with a 4-carat round-cut diamond ring.

“Words can’t even say how shocked I am 💍 … geez although the asshole was way overdue 😜 !!!!” Spears wrote on Instagram shortly after her engagement. “It was definitely worth the wait.”

She added, “Yes world … that beautiful f—ing man in that picture is MINE 😍 !!! I’m so blessed it’s insane 🌹🌹🌹 !!!!”

Asghari opened up about his relationship with Spears in a September photoshoot with Men’s Health, telling the outlet that he prioritizes his fiancée’s happiness.

“I just want her to be happy. If something makes her happy, I’ll do it,” the actor said at the time. “I’m not going to argue. What’s that saying? ‘Happy wife, happy life.’ "

Asghari’s latest post comes as Spears publicly feuds with her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and battles her father, Jamie Spears, in court over legal fees.

Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, sent a cease-and-desist letter to Jamie Lynn, 30, on Monday, demanding that she stop sharing stories about his client’s life while promoting her memoir, Things I Should Have Said.

Rosengart claimed that Jamie Lynn was sharing “false” and “fantastical grievances” on her book tour, and had “exploited [Britney] for monetary gain.”

In response, Jamie Lynn’s lawyer Bryan Freedman fired back at Rosengart in a letter of his own, calling out the “vile statements” Britney has posted to social media about her sister amid their feud, TMZ reported Wednesday.

“These include, but are not limited to, statements such as Britney should have ‘slapped you and mamma right across your f faces!!!’ and ‘Whipped your ass’, and ‘popped the s out of your ass,’ " the letter said. Jamie Lynn’s attorney demanded that Britney stop posting such sentiments, for fear of inciting violence against his client and her family.

Britney has also been locked in a legal battle with her father, who has requested she continue to pay his legal fees despite her conservatorship being terminated in November 2021.

Jamie, 69, filed court documents in December 2021, demanding his daughter’s estate pay his legal team for “ongoing fiduciary duties relating to the winding up of the Conservatorship of the Person and Estate.”

The documents stated, “Prompt payment on account of Jamie’s attorneys’ fees is necessary to ensure the Conservatorship can be wound up quickly and efficiently to allow Britney to take control of her life as she and Jamie desire.”

Britney filed documents in response to her father’s demands on Friday, alleging that Jamie had violated California’s standards of conduct with his financial misconduct while acting as her conservator.

In a court hearing Wednesday, Los Angeles Judge Brenda Penny did not make a decision regarding Jamie’s request.

Britney Spears’ father spied on her using secret listening device, ex-FBI agent claims

Britney Spears’ father spied on his daughter with a secret device in her bedroom during her conservatorship, a former FBI agent has alleged.

Sherine Ebadi claims that Jamie Spears engaged in “unconscionable violations” of Britney’s privacy in her bedroom, and had asked others to do the same.

A listening device was said to have been concealed behind furniture in the singer’s bedroom, and fitted with battery packs to allow it to record for longer.

Testimony for Ms Ebadi in court documents seen by the Press Association, suggests that Mr Spears had asked asked company Black Box Security, the firm in charge of protecting Britney, to spy on her.

A former employee of the company, Alex Vlasov, backs up the allegations, Ms Ebadi claims, saying: “Based on my debriefing of Mr Vlasov, I have also corroborated that Mr Spears instructed Black Box to place a secret recording device in Ms Spears’s bedroom.

“At the time, Mr Vlasov observed that the digital recording device had an SD card, a battery pack attached to it, and was covered in duct tape.

“According to Mr Vlasov, Black Box was initially responsible for suggesting that a secret listening device be planted in Ms Spears’s bedroom, but Mr Spears ’loved’ the idea and approved and instructed that the installation move forward.

“The Black Box employee who placed the secret device in Ms Spears’s bedroom explained to Mr Vlasov that he did so by duct-taping it behind furniture so it could not be seen, and that he added a separate battery pack to the recording device to permit continuous recording for a longer period of time”.

Ms Ebadi added that California is a “two-party consent” state, meaning that everyone involved has to agree to confidential conversations being recorded, and that Mr Spears had instructed the company to listen to others, using methods that are “typically only available to law enforcement”.

“Mr Spears… engaged in and directed others to engage in unconscionable violations of Ms Spears’s privacy and civil liberties, which also implicates federal or state criminal violations of the law,” the former agent said.

Jamie Spears has called the allegations “all nonsense”.

The controversial conservatorship that saw Spears’ father control the star’s personal and financial affairs for 13 years came to an end in November following a court ruling.

California disability rights advocates cite Britney Spears case in bid to limit conservatorships

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Disability rights activists and advocates for Britney Spears backed a California proposal Wednesday to provide more protections for those under court-ordered conservatorships, while promoting less-restrictive alternatives.

Their move came as the volatile Spears case again boiled over in a Los Angeles County courtroom.

The hearing to settle lingering issues in the aftermath of Spears’ conservatorship, which was terminated in November, quickly descended into a series of angry accusations between attorneys for Spears and her father, and the case appears headed for a long trial to determine the truth of allegations of misconduct against him.

The case is Exhibit #1 for groups including Disability Voices United, Disability Rights California, Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, and Free Britney L.A. who say that what are known as probate conservatorships are overused and misused in California.

They most often involve people with developmental or intellectual disabilities or those with age-related issues like dementia or Alzheimer’s.

But the advocacy groups contend that conservatees like Spears can become trapped in a system that removes their civil rights and the ability to advocate for themselves.

The Professional Fiduciary Association of California, which represents many of those appointed as conservators, did not immediately comment, but said answers to many questions about the process can be found at https://californiaconservatorshipfacts.com

“Conservatorships should be rare, and the last resort,” said Judy Mark, president of Disability Voices United, a Southern California advocacy group. “The default should be that people with disabilities retain their rights and get support when they need it.”

The groups backed legislation by Democratic Assemblyman Brian Maienschein that will also make it easier to end conservatorships for people who want out.

They are promoting instead what are known as “supported decision-making” agreements as a less restrictive alternative. They allow people with disabilities to choose someone to help them understand, make and communicate their choices, but allow the person to still make the decision.

That option has already been adopted in Alaska, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin and Washington, D.C., advocates said.

California law says conservatorships should only be ordered if a judge rules they are the least restrictive alternative. But the advocates contend they are often imposed without examining other options.

Maienschein’s bill would require that before granting a conservatorship, judges first document that all other alternatives including supported decision-making have been considered.

It would write supported decision-making into California law and back that alternative with grant programs, training and technical assistance.

The bill also would make it easier to end probate conservatorships by mandating a periodic review, including asking conservatees if they want to make the conservatorship less restrictive or end it entirely.

Conservators would also be required to consult with the conservatees and make decisions that reflect the conservatee’s wishes or previously expressed preferences.

Before his election to the Legislature, Maienschein was a law clerk for a San Diego Superior Court judge who oversaw conservatorships.

“I saw firsthand the role that the court plays in establishing conservatorships, and the potential for abuse,” he said during an online news conference. “The system in California is in desperate need of reform.”

He called Spears “arguably the world’s most famous conservatee,” but said his bill would aid the many others who don’t have “the benefit of worldwide fame to shine a light on her case.”

Spears drew widespread attention to the issue, culminating in November when a Los Angeles judge ended the conservatorship that controlled the pop singer’s life and money for nearly 14 years.

But the fallout continued at Wednesday’s hearing, when Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart objected to Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny approving the many outstanding attorneys’ fees in the case until the trial is held.

Rosengart repeated allegations from a New York Times documentary that James Spears bugged his daughter’s phone and home, saying they were among many instances of “serious misconduct, potentially criminal misconduct, on the part of Mr. Spears.”

James Spears’ attorney Alex Weingarten said the accusations, along with allegations of financial misdealing, are “all nonsense.”

“Virtually everything that is alleged in those objections is either demonstrably false or out of context,” Weingarten said.

Weingarten plans to file a motion for a mass unsealing of documents from throughout the conservatorship, saying “we need that truth to come out.” Rosengart said he would object to this too.

Penny ordered the final transfer of Spears’ assets back to her from the court conservator, and ruled that the November order terminating the conservatorship be sealed. She told the attorneys to return to court in July, when she may decide to order the trial.

Britney Spears did not take part in the hearing.

“I believe that if AB1663 had been in effect 13 years ago, the court would have been unable to conserve Britney Spears, and now Britney’s story lights the way for where changes in our laws need to be made,” said Mark, of Disability Voices United.

Advocates said it is unclear how many people are under conservatorships in California because the data isn’t collected. They said Spears’ battle is an example of how conservatorships are too easily imposed and too difficult to end.

She was a 26-year-old new mother who’d had several public mental health struggles during the height of her career in 2008, when her father sought the conservatorship, at first on a temporary basis.

Spears was not present at the court hearing where her constitutional rights were assigned to her father, nor were less-restrictive measures attempted before putting her under a conservatorship, said Free Britney L.A. organizer Leanne Simmons.

It ended only after Spears engaged in a multiyear struggle, and after she won the right to pick her own attorney.

“While unique in many ways, it follows a very common pattern of exploitation within the probate court system here in California,” Simmons said.

A complete timeline of how 2021 became the year Britney Spears was freed from her father and conservatorship

July 26, 2021: Rosengart formally requested the court to remove Jamie as a conservator. His filing included damning statements from Lynne and Spears’ personal conservator,

Rosengart wasted no time. Twelve days after he was hired by Spears, he submitted a new court filing with the formal request that Jamie be suspended from the conservatorship immediately.

The filing included supporting statements from Britney’s mom Lynne and Jodi Montgomery — the woman appointed to be Britney’s coconservator.

Montgomery said the pop star’s entire medical team agreed that her estranged father should be removed from the guardianship because of “serious, unresolved issues” between Spears and Jamie that were “not psychologically healthy.”

As for Lynne, she made an incendiary declaration in support of her daughter’s request. This marked the first time Lynne had spoken out in clear opposition to her ex-husband. The two divorced in 2002.

“Since this conservatorship has been in place, the relationship between the conservatee and Mr. Spears has dwindled to nothing but fear and hatred of Mr. Spears by the conservatee due to Mr. Spears’ behavior,” Lynne Spears wrote her statement.

Lynne said that behavior included Jamie’s “complete control” over Britney, “his mistrust of her, his coercion of her, his ‘bartering’ with her over what she can and cannot do for whatever reward or punishment he is willing to mete out, his constant threats, and his decision-making over all aspects of her life.”

Britney Spears’ Instagram Skit “Sessions With Ashley” Features A Poop Joke

Britney Spears is known as a chart-topper and Grammy winner, but in an alternate universe, she could’ve also been a sitcom star. She’s proven her comedic chops on Will and Grace, How I Met Your Mother, and Jane the Virgin, but these days, she’s showing off her comedy skills on Instagram. Spears posted a new video titled “Sessions with Ashley” on Jan. 18, presumably marking the debut of a series of skits, complete with the singer belting out a catchy intro jingle.

The skit follows Ashley, played by Spears, who is seeing her therapist, also played by Spears, for the third time in one month. “We need to start taking things a little bit more seriously here,” the unnamed therapist warns. “I’m here to help you, but you need to give me the tools to help you with your relationship with Earl. Earl has a sickness, and your bowel movements are obviously getting in the way of showing him your affection toward him.” Yes, you read that right: Ashley’s bowel movements are preventing her from having a healthy relationship.

Ashley goes on to describe her recent date with Earl, who has a drinking problem and who took her to the opening night of Cats, where they met the cast during intermission. But then nature called. “I think I had too much to eat with my hamburger, and I’m actually a little bit allergic to fried food,” she said, before pretending to cry. “Sorry, I need to take a moment.”

“I had to run away, I went to the bathroom, and I just sht on myself everywhere,” she continued, sobbing. “I couldn’t stop it and it was the nerves of being with him. He makes me so scared because I just want everything to go right and all of a sudden, I just let go and I just sht everywhere. How does that make me feel? Well, it makes me feel way better in my belly once I just sh*t everywhere, but the embarrassment factor of just letting go like that is really too much to handle.”

Spears made it clear on Instagram that the video was not based on a true story, captioning her post, “No, I never pooped on myself !!! This is a skit !!!”

This isn’t the first time that Spears has poked fun at therapy, which she said she was forced to receive under her 13-year-long conservatorship. In December, Spears played both a therapist and her unenthused patient in another self-made skit posted to Instagram. “As much therapy as I’ve had to do against my will … being forced to pay and listen to women telling me how they are going to further my success… it would only be fair for me to dedicate my life to skits to the wonderful therapist,” she captioned the post.

What these skits prove is that Lorne Michaels needs to get Spears to host Saturday Night Live again immediately. She’s hosted the variety show twice, in 2000 and 2002, and appeared once again as the musical guest in 2003.

Many stars have portrayed Spears on the show over the years, including Amy Poehler, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, and Chloe Fineman, but Spears hasn’t appeared since then.
