The Young and the Restless Neil Winters Legacy Faux Pas
]
Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor, Chance Chancellor, and Devon Hamilton managed to avoid court on The Young and the Restless. Instead, they agreed to share custody of Dominic without involving a judge. However, during it, Devon included his late father, Neil Winters. We love having Neil in storylines, but the soap made a faux pas.
The Young and the Restless Neil Winters Legacy
We’d be lying if we said we didn’t roll our eyes a bit when we heard Devon (Bryton James) ask Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance (Conner Floyd) to change Dominic’s name. Sure Neil (Kristoff St. John) was also Abby’s godfather, but still. So the little boy is now Dominic Phillip Newman-Abbot-Winters-Chancellor (try saying that three times fast). Talk about a difficult-to-spell moniker.
Pretentiously long name aside, when Devon got home with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), he spoke to Neil’s photo to tell him all about the situation — something he’s done several times lately. We couldn’t help but notice that Devon told Neil little Dom Six Names would carry on Neil’s legacy. While we’re sure he will, it certainly felt like a faux pas considering Neil’s other son (and his only biological child), Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) lives in Devon’s house and is growing up, presumably to carry on their father’s legacy too.
Room for All
While ignoring Moses doesn’t mean that Dominic won’t also carry on with the work Neil started all those years ago, we didn’t like how it felt. It seems like Moses should have a larger storyline these days given how many characters he’s involved with. We’d love to see him carrying on Neil’s legacy with Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) right now.
Another thing we’d love to see? Devon having a child of his own that he didn’t sire as a sperm donor. We still don’t think Abby is fully on board with this new situation and look forward to the drama that will undoubtedly unfold.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, January 21: Victor Sets his Plan into Motion; Michael Teases Lauren; Abby Comes to a Decision
‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week off with a fun episode with some resolutions and the beginning of another Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) attack.
On the plus side, we’re going to have some fun and interesting scenes as other storylines will be gearing down as they prepare to build for future problems.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, January 21: Victor’s at it again
After grabbing control of Newman Media from his son, Victor will now set his sights on going after one of his enemies, and we suspect it’ll be Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
We expect this will be in retaliation for Billy walking away from his attack on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), and he’ll want to show Billy how it’s done.
With Adam already questioning things, we don’t think he’ll be fully onboard for this and it’ll probably involve Chancellor Industries and that’ll affect Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
We hope it’s someone besides Billy as this has gotten tiresome, but we have a feeling it’s going to be some of the same old stuff.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, January 21: Abby makes up her mind
Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is going to come to a decision about giving Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) more parental rights.
Having now realized how much her husband has been hurting, she’s going to let Devon have the arrangements he requested on a temporary basis.
She won’t like it, but this was the slap in the face she needed to pay attention and force Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) to admit he’s having more problems than he let on.
Granted, she should’ve seen it since it was obvious to everyone else, but she was also relying on him being honest with her.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers can’t help but feel like this is kicking their confrontation down the road a ways, and it’s going to get ugly when they return to this.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, January 21: Lauren’s kept in suspense
There’s going to be some fun and games in the episode as Michael Baldwin (Cristian LeBlanc) will keep his decision about joining Victor to himself, which will cause Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) to become more interested.
This will be a fun back and force as Michael teases her before finally letting her in on his decision, and then it’ll be celebration time for them.
What does Victor have in mind? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.

Y&R Spoilers For January 24: Sharon Notices A New Side To Rey
]
The Y&R spoilers for Monday, January 24, 2022, offer a sneak peek into a future where Rey Rosales has had enough of being Mr. Nice Guy, Chloe Mitchell Fisher has had enough of Chelsea Lawson’s shenanigans, and Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor has to make yet another painful decision.
The Y&R Spoilers Highlights
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) has always been the strong, silent, stoic type. He’s stood by Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) as she vacillated between him and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), and through all the issues with her temporarily bratty daughter, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). But Rey has had enough.
Earlier, he told Sharon that he wanted to spend time with her. Not at work, not at home with her kids, but alone, just the two of them. Like the practically still newlyweds that they still are. So when Sharon sees a different side of her husband next week, will it be the romantic…or the one who finally puts his foot down and demands to be more of a priority for her?
Young and the Restless: Get It Together
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is so pissed off that Adam doesn’t want her – and that it looks like he might want Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) instead – that she demanded an office far away from Newman Media.
When Adam didn’t immediately hop to meeting her demands, Chelsea set up a work-station at the coffee shop. Which is where Chloe (Elizabeth Henrickson) puts her foot down. She will not have the website she worked so hard on brought down by Chelsea’s pettiness. Fix this! Now!
Y&R Spoilers: Woe Is Abby
Abby (Melissa Ordway) thought the worst of times were over for her and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) when they agreed to share legal custody of Dominic with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). But they’re not out of the woods yet! Chance gets a letter that forces Abby to hit another wall in her quest for a happy family.
