Bob Saget’s wife Kelly Rizzo has paid tribute to late actor following his death last week, calling him “the most incredible man on earth”.

The Full House actor and comedian was found unresponsive in a room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando hotel last Sunday (January 9) and pronounced dead on the scene.

After a number of tributes have flooded in on social media this past week, his wife Kelly Rizzo has now paid tribute to her “sweet husband” in a lengthy post published to Instagram.

“After much reflection this week, I’m trying, really trying, to not think I was robbed of time. But instead to think: How lucky was I that I got to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN ON EARTH,” Rizzo wrote. “I was the one who got to go on this crazy ride with him and be in his life these last 6 years. We had that time to make each other the happiest we’d ever been and change each other’s lives forever.”

Rizzo went on to express gratitude for the fact that she got to be the one to “love him and cherish him”, while noting that Saget deserved “every ounce” of her affection. “Because that’s how amazing Bob was. He was love,” she said. “If you were in his life you KNEW he loved you. He never missed an opportunity to tell you.”

Even with the passing of her husband, Rizzo expressed that she has no regrets because she and Saget constantly made their feelings for one another known. “We loved each other so damn much and told each other 500 times every day. Constantly,” she wrote. “I know how much he loved me until the very last moment and he knew the same. I’m so grateful for that. Not everyone gets that.”

Rizzo added that Saget was “a force” and how she was in awe of “the enormous outpouring of love and tribute for this special man”. “I am so appreciative for the kindness and support from loved ones and strangers,” she said. “Everyone loves Bob and everyone wants to make sure I’m ok. And for that, I’m eternally grateful.”

Saget’s widow added that the late actor and comedian had “so much more” he wanted to do, and so much more love to give – and that she will continue to make it her mission to share “how amazing he was” with everyone possible, joking that this doesn’t mean she will be doing stand-up like her husband.

She concluded that she will “keep sharing” information about the Scleroderma Research Foundation and “how important” it was to him, in the wake of his sister Gay’s death from the disease. “I just want to make him proud. And to his girls, I will love you all with all my heart, always,” Rizzo said in closing. “Honey, I love you more than anything, forever.”

Saget was laid to rest Friday afternoon (January 14) in Los Angeles in a small, intimate funeral of family and close friends.

The funeral was held at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries. Among those in attendance was John Stamos, one of his best friends and Full House co-star, John Mayer, Jeff Ross, Lori Loughlin, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, along with Jimmy Kimmel and Dave Chappelle.

“America’s Funniest Home Videos” has paid moving tribute to beloved original host, Bob Saget.

During Sunday’s broadcast of the long-running ABC show, host Alfonso Ribeiro remembered Saget as a member of the show’s “family.” Saget, 65, died Jan. 9, prompting global mourning from fans who loved the comedian as widowed father Danny Tanner on “Full House” and as the “AFV” host from 1989 to 1997.

“As you’ve heard, the world lost a legend last week, and ‘AFV’ lost a family member,” Ribeiro said in the TV tribute. “Bob Saget is synonymous with ‘AFV’ to this day, and this show wouldn’t have been the same without his unique sense of humor. It’s been my honor to continue carrying the torch Bob so brightly lit.”

Naturally, there was a funny video.

Ribeiro introduced a look-back montage of “Bob being Bob,” featuring Saget in some of his zanier moments of physical comedy on the show. An interview section from the show’s 20th-anniversary special featured Saget discussing his five voice-over personalities with then-host Tom Bergeron.

After listing four of his voice-overs, Saget remembered his fifth, “I guess it’s ‘Oh, I’m beautiful,” Saget said in a goofy voice, causing Bergeron to crack up.

“AFV” paid further tribute to Saget when posting the video on the official YouTube channel, writing:

“Bob was the backbone of a TV show that has gone on to entertain not only America, but the world. Bob made us smile, he made us laugh out loud and, often times, he would make us giggle. A comedy legend. A kind soul. Our dear friend. We will miss you, Bob. ❤”

Ribeiro, 50, had previously posted his own tribute to Saget on Instagram, writing, “He was amazing. There’s no AFV without Bob. RIP Bob. We will all miss you.”

Bergeron, 66, posted an Instagram tribute as well, recalling when he asked Saget to appear on his final “AFV” show.

“Without hesitation he said yes,” Bergeron wrote. “I’ll always be grateful for that. And for our friendship. #RIP.”

Friends and family gathered Friday for an intimate service in Los Angeles to pay their last respects in person. “Full House” stars John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweeten, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen arrived dressed in black. Dave Chappelle, Jimmy Kimmel, John Mayer and Chris Rock also attended.

Wife Kelly Rizzo posted an emotional remembrance to Saget on Saturday.

“My sweet husband,” Rizzo wrote on Instagram. “After much reflection this week, I’m trying, really trying, to not think I was robbed of time. But instead to think: How lucky was I that I got to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN ON EARTH.”

Saget was found dead in his hotel room bed at Orlando’s Ritz-Carlton last Sunday. The comedian had been traveling the country with the “I Don’t Do Negative” tour and performed a two-hour set in Jacksonville, Florida, the night before his death.

The Orange County Medical Examiner’s office said in a statement Monday that an autopsy had been completed on Saget, with no “evidence of drug use or foul play.” The cause and manner of death are “pending further studies and investigation, which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete,” according to the statement.

Nikki Glaser Pays Tribute To ‘The World’s Friend’ Bob Saget With New Song

Nikki Glaser paid a musical tribute to her friend Bob Saget. The comedian shared that she wrote a song in honor of the Full Housestar - - who died at the age of 65 on Jan. 9.

“Here’s a song about the world’s friend, Bob Saget. I was recording a bunch of songs last week that my friend @mattpondpa wrote for me,” the 37-year-old said in the post which featured the single’s cover art.

“It was just for fun and to see if I could do it and I didn’t intend to release anything because I’m so new to this, but then Monday happened and this song materialized and I’m proud of it. Spotify link in bio. Thanks @mattpondpa, @anyamarina, @hansenmusic, & @nativesoundrecordings for making this happen.”

“The king of fatherhood. Someone to trust. When I was down. You brought me up,” she sings in the snippet of the guitar led ballad shared on her Instagram.

Glaser also shared a blurb with the Los Angeles Times about her final moment with Saget. The comedienne wrote that in October, the America’s Funniest Home Videos host did a stand-up show in Milwaukee, on the same night, and invited her out to dinner with him and his in-laws after her set.

Glaser shared that she tried to turn down the request, due to having a few people in town with her, but Saget gladly invited her entire group out for the meal.

“I showed up with four people, two of which I had just met that night. I can’t tell you how unheard of it is for a celebrity to be OK with you bringing people who you don’t even know to a dinner with their family,” she wrote in the tribute piece.

“Bob couldn’t have cared less. He gave them as much attention as he gave me, and to my surprise and relief, he was the same exact Bob around his in-laws as he was around anyone. He told irreverent stories….We were all family that night.”

Since the news of his death, Saget’s former co-stars and famous friends have shared tributes in his honor on social media. On Friday, Saget was laid to rest during a private ceremony.

Saget’s Full House co-stars, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, John Stamos and Dave Coulier, attended the ceremony. As well as his famous friends, including John Mayer and Dave Chappelle.

After the ceremony, Saget’s wife Kelly Rizzo paid an emotional tribute to her late husband on social media.

“My sweet husband,” Rizzo wrote in part. “After much reflection this week, I’m trying, really trying, to not think I was robbed of time. But instead to think: How lucky was I that I got to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN ON EARTH. I was the one who got to go on this crazy ride with him and be in his life these last 6 years. We had that time to make each other the happiest we’d ever been and change each other’s lives forever.”

Rizzo ended her message, .“He deserves all the love. Every ounce of it. Because that’s how amazing Bob was. He was love. If you were in his life you KNEW he loved you. He never missed an opportunity to tell you.”
