Most Memorable Dumbledore Quotes In The Harry Potter Movies
Of all the characters in the “Harry Potter” universe, the one you can always rely on to impart some well-timed words of wisdom is Hogwarts headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. Arriving at Privet Drive to deliver the infant Harry Potter to his relative’s house, Dumbledore is the first character we hear speak in the opening scene of “Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone,” and from that point, he continued to be an incredibly influential character, particularly for the boy wizard.
Even when he was absent, Dumbledore’s words continued to steer Harry, and there’s a very strong argument that he would not have been able to succeed in the same way had it not been for Dumbledore. As well as being a powerful and influential wizard, Dumbledore’s kind nature ensured he was beloved by students and teachers alike – unless, of course, you’re in Slytherin house.
The words spoken by Dumbledore not only hold weight within the movies themselves but can be inspiring and potent proverbs outside of the wizarding world for us non-magic folk as well. More than any other character in this universe, there is a philosophical nature to Dumbledore’s phrases, spoken by someone who has lived a long life and learned many lessons from his varied experiences. These are just some of Dumbledore’s most memorable quotes from the “Harry Potter” films.

Harry Potter fans will know that the Marauders were four famous Gryffindor classmates: Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, and Harry’s father, James Potter. Well known as mischief-makers, they created the Marauder’s Map, but would all go on to fight in the First Wizarding War and join the Order of the Phoenix – before one betrayed them all. Fans have also long ‘shipped’ a gay relationship between two of them. Explaining why she had created this new project, producer Megan Mckelli said: “I think it is very clear that we can not trust Rowling or Warner Bros with this storyline or these characters.” This follows on from the ongoing storm raging around Rowling’s statements about trans women.
It already appears that the ongoing Fantastic Beasts film franchise has started to distance itself from the author by downplaying her name’s visibility on trailers, while the author only appeared briefly in the recent Sky 20th Anniversary Harry Potter reunion. She was shown in previously recorded soundbites and not interacting with any of the reuniting cast or crew, some of whom have spoken out against her comments Mckelli said: ‘We aim to reflect the diversity of the fanbase in its beloved characters, introducing people of colour, queer storylines, and characters of differing faiths." Most notably, she promised the portrayal on-screen of Wolfstar: “We could not make this without what is arguably the fandom’s most beloved ship… ‘Will there be Wolfstar?’ is far and away the number one question we have received about this series… For us, Wolfstar was always the endgame.”

JK Rowling and Harry Potter cast in happier times
READ MORE ‘Terrible! I was insulted’ Why major UK star quit Harry Potter films In a series of online video posts, Mckelli explained major leading character roles would involve five weeks of shooting through May and June in the Pacific North West of the US, with supporting roles taking two to three weeks. Casting opened on January 5 and runs until January 22. All applicants have to be over 18 and demonstrate mastery of British accents. All cast members will be flown in and accommodated if they are coming “from out of town.” The line-up of characters includes the youthful versions of many familiar faces from the Warner Bros films, including Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, Lilly and James Potter, Bellatrix Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy, Neville’s parents Alice and Frank Longbottom, as well as Marlene McKinnon and Dorcas Meadowes. Immediate reactions to this announcement have pointed out that JK Rowling is unlikely to give permission for her proprietary characters to be used in any way.
Prince Harry launches legal action over police protection for UK visit

Prince Harry is challenging a government decision to strip him of police protection when on British soil even if he covers the cost himself.
The Duke of Sussex says he wants to bring wife Meghan Markle and their two children “home” to the UK, but he is too scared to do so due to a lack of security.

The couple lost access to around the clock police protection when they quit royal duties and moved to the United States in 2020.
Prince Harry has returned to the UK twice in the last two years – for the unveiling on a Princess Diana statue last July and Prince Philip’s funeral three months earlier – but Meghan and their two children have stayed in the US both times.

A legal representative for Harry said he does have private security, but this would not give him and his family the level of protection they need while visiting Britain.
“In the absence of such protection, Prince Harry and his family are unable to return to his home,” the statement said.
“The UK will always be Prince Harry’s home and a country he wants his wife and children to be safe in,” they said on Sunday.
“But with the lack of police protection, comes too great a personal risk.

“He remains sixth in line to the throne, served two tours of combat duty in Afghanistan, and in recent years his family has been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats,” the statement continues.
“While his role within the institution has changed, his profile as a member of the royal family has not. Nor has the threat to him and his family.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex personally fund a private security team for their family, yet that security cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed whilst in the UK.”

While Harry has returned to the UK twice since walking away from royal life in 2019, Meghan and two-year-old son Archie have not crossed the pond.
Baby daughter Lilibet has yet to set foot in the country where her dad was born and has not met any of her British relatives, including 95-year-old great grandmother the Queen.
The monarch has reportedly been made aware of her grandson’s action, which is thought to be the first time a member of the Royal Family has brought a case against Her Majesty’s Government.
