After retaining their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against The New Day in a Street Fight last week, The Usos kicked off the latest episode of the blue brand to talk about the greatness of The Bloodline.

Jimmy & Jey then introduced the four teams who were about to compete in the Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match to determine their next challengers. The tandems included Viking Raiders, Cesaro & Mansoor, Los Lotharios and Jinder Mahal & Shanky. Before leaving the ring, though, the nefarious titleholders opted to add a surprise pair of superkicks into the mix that lit the fuse.

After being embarrassed by Johnny Knoxville last week, Sami Zayn planned to out-“Jackass” his nemesis by attempting to jump the ring in a shopping cart and land on a red “X” on a black mat on the other side. At the last second though, a very nervous Zayn had second thoughts and opted to back out of the stunt.

Before all was said and done, however, a distraction by an emerging Rick Boogs allowed Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura to spice things up with a surprise Kinshasa. This paved the way for Boogs to press Zayn high into the air and launch him out of the ring and into the “X” after all.

Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss emerged to share their unique brand of humor, a performance that served as a prelude to a showdown between Kingston and Moss. In the following match, Moss countered the SOS and hit Kofi with the Punchline for the win.

Dutch Mantell is not impressed by Aliyah on SmackDown

Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell feels WWE’s latest rookie sensation Aliyah lacks the experience to make it on SmackDown.

Dutch Mantell sat down with Sid Pullar III on this week’s episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk and reviewed the latest episode of the blue brand. The former WWE manager wasn’t impressed by Aliyah’s debut on SmackDown.

Mantell said that Aliyah looked out of sorts during the interview and in the ring. He credited Natalya for carrying the whole segment and the match that followed:

“That girl is green, isn’t she? Really, really green. I’d say that Natalya did a pretty good job with her. But that first interview they did when Aliyah left the room, horrible interview. Horrible! It just didn’t click.”

Mantell suggested that she was nervous during the interview, and it looked bad on TV:

“She can’t talk, she can’t get the lines out. You can tell she’s nervous in the first interview they did when she was talking about the book of records.”

Aliyah set a new record on SmackDown this week

This week on SmackDown, Aliyah inadvertently insulted Natalya backstage when she mentioned she didn’t know that the Guinness Book of World Records was still a thing.

The Queen of Harts decided to beat the rookie in record time to bag another laurel for herself. Before the matchup, Natalya launched a vicious attack on Aliyah. The up-and-comer insisted on competing and rolled up Natalya for a pin as soon as the bell rang.

The victory meant Aliyah broke Trish’s record and created a new record of fastest victory in just 3.17 seconds, and that too on her SmackDown singles debut.

Former WWE star returning tonight on Friday Night SmackDown

WWE has announced several new things for tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

First up is WWE Hall Of Famer Lita appearing on the show to hype her participation in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. This will mark the first time in nearly 20 years that she has appeared on SmackDown.

WWE has also confirmed that Seth Rollins and Universal Champion Roman Reigns will have a confrontation ahead of their title match at the Royal Rumble. Finally, Natalya vs. Aliyah, which marks Aliyah’s SmackDown singles debut, and the premiere episode of Sami Zayn’s own stunt show, InZayn, will take place.

WWE noted that Zayn promises to out-“Jackass” Johnny Knoxville on the show. As noted, the actor will be competing in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
