“My career is blowing things out of the water, my life, because I’m a human, it feels like it’s in shambles, but it’s not. I’m just sad because I’ve had some losses,” she said.
Of the late Full House star, she added, “My first memory of him is when he came into the comedy camp and I got on stage and to tell some of my jokes.”
“He goes, ‘Good, that’s good. Now keep the time…’ Like, stick to time,” she continued, explaining that she went over her allotted three minutes. “I was going over the time… I wanted to tell my whole story.”
Haddish also shared a tribute to Saget on Instagram shortly after his death.
“@bobsaget I am going to miss you so much😭😭 You have brought so much joy to this planet,” she wrote alongside a snap of them posing while on the set of TBS’ Friday Night Vibes. Haddish co-hosts the show with actor and comedian Deon Cole.
She added, “You were one of my 1st Great teachers. You always made me feel safe and worthy. You always made me laugh 😂. Now you make God and all the Angels laugh I Love you forever! 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️”
She posted a clip of Saget’s September appearance on the show where she recalled him defending Haddish after she was criticized for her “dirty” material in a set.

“You came right up and said ‘Don’t you listen to that motherf—er,’ " she told Saget.
“You gotta follow your voice,” Saget affirmed. “One of the first things you said to me is ‘I want to be like Richard [Pryor].’ I said well okay, this minus some of the drugs … but you had it in your heart. He was one of my mentors and one of my heroes and you know all of our heroes. You had the fire in you from the beginning.”

Actress Tiffany Haddish charged with DUI in Georgia

She was arrested about 40 miles south of Atlanta.
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — Tiffany Haddish was arrested Friday and charged with driving under the influence, authorities said.
The actor and comedian was detained after Peachtree City Police got a call about 2:30 a.m. regarding a driver asleep at the wheel on a highway, Assistant Police Chief Matt Myers said in a news release. An officer saw a vehicle matching the caller’s description and stopped Haddish as she pulled into the yard of a residence, Myers said.
Haddish later posted $1,666 bond and was released from the Fayette County Jail, Myers said. He did not release any information about a possible court date.
A spokesman for Haddish did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment.
Haddish was the breakout star of the smash comedy “Girls Trip” and has starred in such movies as “The Kitchen,” “Night School” and “Like A Boss.” She’s also written the New York Times best-seller, “The Last Black Unicorn” and hosted the popular television show “Kids Say The Darndest Things.”
Tiffany Haddish Talks ‘Afterparty,’ Possibly Hosting Oscars and Looking for a Boyfriend (Exclusive)

Tiffany Haddish is addressing the possibility of hosting this year’s Oscars. ET’s Nischelle Turner spoke with the 42-year-old comedian about her new Apple TV+ show, The Afterparty, and she said she definitely isn’t opposed to hosting the star-studded awards show.
Earlier this week, the Academy announced that this year’s ceremony set for March 27 will have a host, unlike the previous three years. Haddish told ET that she was game when it comes to taking on the big gig.
“You know, I wouldn’t turn it down, but you know, I am booked and busy, but when it’s the Oscars,” she says.
“Oh, I’m available in April,” she adds.
Haddish’s career is clearly thriving and when it comes to her personal life, she joked that she’s taking applications for her next boyfriend. Haddish split from Common in November after a year of dating.
“Yeah, so, I’ve been working on a Word document, building an application, I’m going to drop that next week,” she cracks. “I’m going to drop applications next week and I’m going to hold my interviews, I’m gonna go through the applications, right? Then I’m gonna hold interviews on Instagram Live.”
“‘Cause if you gonna be in these streets with you, me, you’re gonna have to be willing in the eye of the public,” she continues. “So, I’m gonna go live, I’m gonna interview them in front of everybody, you know, let their girlfriends, ex-girlfriends, whatever, say what they gonna say. … No room for lies. And then, you know, then maybe we’ll do a second interview. You know, my brother, Deon, called, he said he would help me do the second interview. We’ll do it on Friday Night Vibes and then I’ll go on a date.”
On a more serious note, it’s already been a tough year for Haddish, who’s experienced devastating losses. In addition to her dog of 13 years dying, she lost a close mentor, as well as another mentor and good friend, Bob Saget. But she pointed out that there is a silver lining.
“Well, my personal life, OK, my sexual personal life is not in shambles,” she said. “Now my personal life is in shambles, this year, you know, people are like, ‘Happy New Year.’ I’m like, no, neutral new year. I’m gonna be neutral in the year.”
“I’m very emotional,” she said about the losses she’s experienced. “I’ve been crying a lot ‘cause it’s – that’s my heart. My dog was my heart, and the other people who passed, you know, those, they were my rocks, you know, they had my back. I mean, they taught me a lot, so I lost the physical, I’m sure I got them in the spiritual.”
Meanwhile, The Afterparty premieres on Apple TV+ on Jan. 28. The murder-mystery comedy takes place at a high school reunion afterparty with each episode focusing on a different character’s perspective of what happened that night. When asked who the biggest partier in the cast is, she said it was Ike Barinholtz.
“Ike can go way longer than me,” she shared. “I thought I was a partier until I partied with Ike and I fell asleep at the party and when I woke up, he was still partying.”
As for who made her laugh the most, she said it was British comedian Jamie Demetriou.
“First, I didn’t even know who he was because I had never really seen him before,” she admitted. “I know he’s big time in Europe, but I had never really seen him before and then like, having a conversation with him I was like, ‘He’s a little awkward, or am I being awkward?’ And then when he played his character, I would bust up laughing and I could not … my character has to eat in one of the scenes and I’m eating or whatever and he said something so funny one time. When I tell you, it was against our COVID regulations because that food flew out of my mouth ‘cause he’s just, he’s just very … that man is awesome, really amazing.”

Tiffany Haddish plays detective solving class reunion murder in Apple TV+ series ‘The Afterparty’

We told you Tiffany Haddish was busted for DIU, but before she got behind the wheel, she talked to Deco. Tiff’s one of the stars of the upcoming Apple TV+ show “The Afterparty.” Sounds like she kept on partying last night. Anyway, here’s the 411 on the new series.
Going to your high school reunion can be fun and nerve-racking, but you know you’ve made it when you get invited to the reunion’s after party.
In Apple TV+’s “The Afterparty,” the coolest kid in school, played by Dave Franco, invites old friends back to his pad.
But he has a party foul. Franco dies.
Actually, he’s murdered, and everyone is a suspect.
Tiffany Haddish is the detective who wants to find out who done it, but she has her own way of getting to the bottom of things.
Tiffany Haddish: “I would describe her as someone who is a little quirky, unconventional. She’s not your typical hardcore police officer, and she’s fun.”
Haddish interviews each suspect. Each episode of the show is their perspective of the night and the murder.
Sam Richardson is Aniq, a lovable brainiac and possible killer.
Sam Richardson: “Aniq is a hopeless romantic whose perspective is romantic comedy. He’s a bit of a nerd, and he designs escape rooms for a living.”
Yasper, played by Ben Schwartz, is the guy who hoped to be popular by association. Now he’s hoping not be a murder suspect.
Ben Schwartz: “My character’s aspiration is to be this big musician, this big music star when he was younger, and he never quite hit that aspiration. He’s hoping, being so close to someone like Dave Francos character Xavier, he will help him get closer to being a big, big star.”
The series has a little bit of everything: the jocks, the cheerleaders, and even music geeks will like it.
Tiffany Haddish: “I would define this as a comedy, musical, murder mystery, rom-com, action-packed series.”
Tiffany Haddish (as Detective Danner): “We need to know who killed him tonight.”
“The After Party” starts streaming on Apple TV plus on Jan. 28.
