Fortnite players call for LTM u-turn in future updates: “No end in sight”
]
Fortnite players are begging Epic Games to change the way they approach Limited Time Modes in their future updates by bringing back a classic feature.
Limited Time Modes in Fortnite give players alternate game modes to enjoy the battle royale’s engine in other ways.
Games like Disco Domination, Teams of 20, and Team Rumble were all focused on the battle royale aspect.
While Epic Games has plenty of BR LTMs, players are beginning to worry, as they feel that they are now only focused on releasing Creative LTMs.
Fortnite players want BR LTMs instead of Creative
Epic Games’ Fortnite has been out for almost 5 years and has changed its method toward implementing new game modes for its players.

A Reddit post by ‘FNInternetExplorer’ mentions how back in the older days, Fortnite received “Battle Royale LTMs.” Now they are claiming the devs are only releasing Creative LTMs which are less enjoyable.
One Redditor said, “They just keep pushing those creative maps. They think we prefer them over LTMs.” While another added, “Creative maps are 99% trash and copy & paste. One hour or more modes before the game can end.”
Players believe that the devs are trying too hard to throw this agenda on them and fear there is “no end in sight.”

“I’m tired of Creative LTMs. I get they wanna show off maps made by the community but come on that’s no reason to just drop original LTMs.” These original ones, include Disco Domination, 50v50, Food Fight, and others.

While Fortnite patch 19.10 is set to release on January 18, unfortunately, players won’t be getting a BR LTM. So fans will need to keep petitioning and hope their voices are heard so Epic brings back this classic feature.
Green Goblin skin has been datamined in the latest Fortnite update
]
The two Hawkeyes aren’t the only new Marvel characters coming to Fortnite. Spider-Man’s archnemesis the Green Goblin will also reportedly be terrorizing the island soon. The Green Goblin and accessories were datamined by the same group of leakers that discovered the Hawkeye skins hidden within Fortnite’s version 19.10 update. The dataminers go by GalaxifyX, GMatrixGames, ralisdumb, and FNLeaksAndInfo on Twitter.
The Green Goblin outfit is based more on the character’s classic appearance in the comics rather than how the character looks in the Spider-Man films. Although the outfit is similar to the high-tech armor we see in the movies, the skin also has the purple hat, shirt, gloves, and boots from the comics.
The Green Goblin cosmetic comes with the Goblin’s iconic Pumpkin Bombs, the Goblin Glider, a new loading screen, the Pumpkin P’axe, and a new emote called Arm the Pumpkin! FNLeaksAndInfo shares an image of the new loading screen and what the Green Goblin skin will look like in-game.
Neither Epic Games nor Marvel has officially commented on the Green Goblin or Hawkeyes being in Fortnite, though Fortnite leaker HYPEX has commented that a Hawkeye collaboration is bound to happen “in the next two weeks.” HYPEX also claimed that both Mary Jane and Green Goblin will be coming to Fortnite as NPCs, though now it is seemingly confirmed that the latter will be a skin instead. Files for the Green Goblin had been discovered in the game back in December 2021.
All New 19.10 Fortnite Leaked Skins & Cosmetics
]
Here are all of the leaked Skins and other cosmetics found in today’s v9.10 Fortnite update.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a major update for Fortnite Battle Royale as the Epic employees working on the game took a break for the holidays. However, there were content updates in between and we saw the addition of Storms and Lightning, which was needed for one of the Week 6 challenges. The v19.10 update is now ready for players to download on the available devices and there is a lot in store for this update, mainly the return of the much anticipates POI, Tilted Towers!
As wiht every downloadable update in Fortnite, dataminers are able to access the files once they are available, even if downtime has not yet ended and are able to leak all the new files that have been added to the game, if they have not been encrypted of course. There usually are a a few files that are encrypted by Epic and there have been some instances where dataminers have managed to leak these cosmetics as well, but as of late, there have not been any leaks of the encrypted files until they have been released by Epic themselves.
Fortnite v19.10 Leaked Skins
There aren’t many Skins that have been leaked in today’s update unfortunately, but you can see the two that have been below. There is an Epic and Uncommon Skin, by the names of Myna and Stash’d.
Fortnite v19.10 Leaked Cosmetics
There are many other cosmetics that have been leaked by dataminers, which includes Pickaxes, Wraps, Loading Screens, new Skin Styles, Sprays and more, which can be seen below:
Here are some more style variants for cosmetics released previously. As you will see, there are two cosmetics for the Foundation Skin that have new styles for them:
Nintendo Switch Stuck Fortnite Requires An Update to Play, There’s no Update or Can’t Update January 14 2022
]
There’s a new issue for Fortnite Nintendo Switch players with the “Fortnite requires an update to play” error message on January 14th, 2022.
Epic Games haven’t released a major Fortnite patch update in 2022. Epic Games employees were on a break for a couple of weeks and returned last week. We’ve had a hotfix update this week which added in some new features.
We now have two weather conditions, lightening and and tornadoes. Tornadoes provide a different way for players to rotate around the map. When struck by lightening, it’ll provide you with a speed boost whilst inflicting a small amount of damage.
Back in April of last year, Nintendo Switch Fortnite players were experiencing an error where they couldn’t log in to Fortnite because it stated that “Fortnite requires an update to play” even when there was no update to download or players couldn’t actually download it.
It appears this issue has returned today, Friday 14th January 2022. Here’s what we know about the error message based on previous experiences with the issue.
Fortnite Requires An Update to Play No Nintendo Switch Update, Already have Latest Version
Nintendo Switch Fortnite players are being prompted to download an update with the “Fortnite requires an update to play”. However, when Nintendo Switch Fortnite players try to update the game, you’ll notice that you already have the current version installed.
How to Fix Switch Update Error
This is obviously an error on Epic’s side and unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to fix this error. When this happened back in April, players needed to wait for Epic Games to fix the issue.
Last time around, it took a couple of hours to fix the Fortnite requires an update to play error after the Fortnite Status Twitter account tweeted about it. However, they haven’t acknowledged the issue as of writing, but we’ll update this when they do, and when there’s a fix for the issue.

The Heavy Shotgun Could be Returning to Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 1
]
There’s a chance the Heavy Shotgun will be coming back to the game in the near future.
Today saw the release of the 19.10 update. Tilted Towers has returned, we have a new dinosaur on the map, a new consumable item, and the Grenade launch has returned from the vault with some minor adjustments.
There’s also a “The Devoured” landmark location near Tilted Towers, which could expand during the season and could see the return of the Polar Peak monster that featured in the season 9 live event with the mecha robot.
A machine pistol has been leaked by data-miners and Epic Games have accidentally added it into creative mode. You’ll be able to find and use the new machine pistol prior to it’s official release, which is currently unknown.
The Heavy Shotgun was updated in today’s patch along with some other changes. It could be making a return based on these changes, especially with players unhappy with the auto shotgun that’s currently in the game even after the buff it received last week.
Fortnite Heavy Shotgun Coming Back
Epic don’t usually update weapons or items unless they’ll be making a return. The description of the Heavy Shotgun in Fortnite was changed to specify that the new version of the weapon will shoot only a single slug per shot.
The cross hairs of the shotgun were also updated along with received a better fire rate. Players that have seen this information on Twitter are already complaining that the shotgun has been ruined, but we’ll need to wait and see until it’s unvaulted.
It’s unlikely Epic would add the weapon back if it’s not a viable option to use in the current meta for chapter 3 season 1. Other weapons that are being changed include the LMG, and the thermal scoped assault rifle.
