The acclaimed Broadway Sings concert series has announced the lineup for its Tenth Anniversary concert event, Broadway Sings Adele. On February 28 at 8pm, a bombshell cast of stars including Loren Allred (“The Greatest Showman”), Tony Award Winner Lena Hall (Hedwig), Tamika Lawrence (Caroline, Or Change), and Rosé (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”) will belt out new arrangements of the hits of the pop superstar Adele, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra at the beautiful Sony Hall.

Also featured in the lineup are Nick Rashad Burroughs (Tina), Kayla Davion (Tina), Tim Ehrlich (Rent), Sam Gravitte (Wicked), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Corey Mach (Kinky Boots), Lindsay Pearce (Wicked), Jelani Remy (Ain’t Too Proud), Kate Rockwell (Mean Girls), Britton Smith (Be More Chill), Raena White (Chicago), and introducing Rebby Han.

The concert will give tribute to the iconic songs from every album Adele has released, including “Hello”, “Rolling in the Deep”, “Easy On Me” and “Someone Like You”. The music will be orchestrated and arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes.

Broadway Sings Adele is produced and directed by Corey Mach (Waitress, Wicked). Previous singers honored in the series, created in 2012, include Sara Bareilles, Beyoncé, The Beatles, Rihanna, and most recently Lady Gaga’s 2020 album Chromatica. A musician who has performed with Paul McCartney, George Michael and Adele will be bringing his critically acclaimed album tour to a Powys border town.

Leading French horn player Jim Rattigan, who has recorded soundtracks for the James Bond and Lord of the Rings series, is set to play at Bishop’s Castle Town Hall at 8pm on Saturday, January 29.

The composer is bringing together some of UK’s finest players from both jazz and classical music on his ’ When in the New Year’ album tour including Alcyona Mick on piano, Phil Donkin on bass, James Maddren on drums and the Tear String Quartet.

Jim said: “Having had a career in classical music and now playing jazz, I thought that I would write some music that would combine the two worlds. This is not crossover music but a juxtaposition - the two styles working side by side.

“I worked with Julian Tear for many years in the Academy of St Martin’s chamber orchestra and asked him to record the music with his quartet. The quartet becomes a quintet when I call on the double bass to play ‘arco’ and the French horn is a bridge between to two genres.”

Most of the ten original compositions on the album were written five years ago.

“They seemed a little sad and reflective at the time so I put them in a folder and forgot about them,” Jim said. “The irony is that the title When could be applied to the times we’re living in now.”

For one day this fall, it’s going to feel like the early 2000s all over again in Las Vegas.

On Oct. 22, 2022, the emo/punk revivalist When We Were Young Festival will land at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds bringing headliners My Chemical Romance, Avril Lavigne and Paramore along for the ride.

Other major acts scheduled to perform include Jimmy Eat World, Bright Eyes and AFI among many others.

When We Were Young Festival tickets go on pre-sale to the general public at Ticketmaster on Friday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. EST for all shows.

If you don’t want to wait until the tickets go on sale to the general public, you can find seats right now on sites like StubHub, TicketNetwork and MegaSeats.

It’s common for speculative tickets to show up on the secondary market first, but be aware that prices may be more expensive than when they go on sale to the general public.

The cheapest tickets we could find find for the one-day festival at the time of publication were on SeatGeek for $326 before fees. Prices are subject to fluctuation.

Adele has postponed her entire Las Vegas residency, just 24 hours before the opening night.

“I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready,” the star told fans in a tearful update on Instagram.

“Half my team have Covid and it’s been impossible to finish the show,” she said, adding that “delivery delays” had also played havoc with her plans.

She was due to play the first of 24 planned shows at the Caesars Palace’s Colosseum on Friday, January 21.

Announced late in November, the Weekends With Adele series was scheduled to have the singer performing two shows every weekend until April.

Tickets ranged from US $85 to $685, and Adele was forecast to make more than £500 000 per show.

They would have been her first live concerts in five years. Along with two dates in London’s Hyde Park this summer, they are the only shows she has announced to promote her blockbuster fourth album, 30.

Speaking on Instagram, Adele said she had been “awake for 30 hours” trying to rescue the production, but she had simply “run out of time”.

“It’s been impossible to finish the show,” she added. “I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted.” (BBC)
